*pause for effect* ....we finished mixing the album tonight. Ahem.

here's a quick update: the album, in its unmastered state, comes in at just over 60 minutes. there are 14 tracks, two of which are fucked up interlude/soundscapes. the songs on there are a pretty varied bunch and describing them is beyond me at this point; besides, if all goes to plan this autumn, we'll have a few tracks released on the 'net and a video to boot.

speaking of videos, we're trying to do this release as diy as possible. if you have any skills with regards to -making, editing, coming up with cool footage for/blagging the tools necessary to make - broadcast quality music videos, email me.

speaking of emails; as is normal for the time of year (and thanks to what i suspect now is a rather dodgy copy of windows 2000), i have once again lost all my emails for the last year (i highly recommend it as a life-laundry exercise btw). this time, however, to increase the fun, virgin.net have chosen this point to delete the only email account i've ever owned which didn't get filled with spam. if you want to contact me, email miocene (at) ntlworld.com.

speaking of ntlworld: ntlworld are a bunch of cnuts. utter, utter, email address selling, poor service giving, unimaginatively named, cnuts.

speaking of cnuts, we had our first rehearsal in eight months today. i cannot begin to tell you how awful it was. we sounded beyond rusty - we sounded like les dawson when he plays the piano. we will be rehearsing every day for the forseeable future, until the feeling of self-loathing goes away, or we're ready to go out touring with good bands, whichever comes first.

speaking of good bands, some of you might've heard about us going out with sikth this autumn on a fairly short but high profile tour. (Some band called pitchshifter were also on the bill, i believe.) this isn't happening now - some other band were picked over your favourite irritants. a shame.

speaking of things which are a shame; oh, wait, we've come back around full circle to the album again.

I jest of course. It's good for morale.

toodle-pip.

-b.
