today...
It was a year ago today we first
went into the studio.
We had two weeks of straight drum tracks (which is great fun, I assure
you) then two or three days a week from that point until Sept. That
included time spent re-recording half the album to a click track, and
reprogramming a LOT of stuff.
We've spent Sept until now trying to work out a way of paying our
hugely inflated studio bill. On Monday I had a meeting with Harvey and
Martin Calculated to try to figure it out and I'm pleased to tell you
I think we've done it. I've not mentioned anything here before now
because frankly, it's boring, and I don't want to be responsible for
making this place any less interesting than it is - which is why I'm
not going to go into the details of our satanic handshake.
Suffice it to say that if this goes ahead without issues, we can start
mastering (which means we can release MP3s prior to the album release)
and the record will be out in February. I will, naturally, keep you up
to date.
By the way, the video is looking great. =D
