finally! the fab full-length arrives!

at the start of this century, there was a band called miocene. they, along with hundred reasons and lostprophets, were hailed as the future of rock, but nothing happened.  they never released a full-length album - until now.

the intial surprise of this release is continued by just how good it is.  tracks such as "the fall" resound with the darkly powerful, hard rock of tool and in "dionysus" the unsettlingly insanity of a system of a down is felt.

the influence of rage against the machine is heard throughout in the furious, spitting delivery - albeit a very english one - and the hand of aphex twin can be detected in the tortured beats and analogue screams.

this is an album five years overdue and well worth the wait.  it harnesses electronic music and beats without becoming enslaved. a perfect circle meets the streets and makes a surprisingly good prog album.
