(iii) the show

The atmosphere in the place was electric when the bands were on, it may have been packed out but everyone was having a goodtime, the crowd behaved perfectly, it was cool to watch, how they tolerated the heat I will never know, I had to keep popping out for oxygen, it was so hot just sittting down doing nothing, being upfront and bouncing must have a nightmare.

Porcelain Roach made their way onstage, they were well received by the crowd, the people went crazy for them and in response to that Porcelain Roach performed a full set, Nick pushing himself when others could have turned back and quit.

It only got better, the place seemed to swell even more when Miocene made their way onstage, I was bit edgy since there was no barrier between the band and crowd but the crowd again behaved perfectly, no surges forward at all, the tightly packed room moved in time with the music singing along.

Graham made the most of the space he had, moving about as much as he could with that look on his face, the look he gets when hes into the music and enjoying it, Alex as well was enjoying it, he may have been tucked away on the other side of the stage opposite me but he was rocking out as was Leo tucked behind his drum kit, pounding away pumping the blood around the bodies in the room.

I was perched on a speaker attempting to take photos, Ben in front of me singing away through his beautiful retro microphone, his voice combined with the music taking me away to a beautiful place, a place you would never want to leave, sounds cheesy and cliched dont it but its true.

Despite cries for Rivets from Porcelain Roach, Fits Like That was going to be the final song tonight, past experience has taught me not to be upfront unless I want bruises so I shuffled to back to the saftey of the merch stall as the crowd for the last time tonight fed off the energy radiated by the four men onstage.

Tonight had been a great night and the crowd applauded and cheered as they made their offstage and outside for fresh air.
