(iv) the aftermath

Well back in the van we got, though not before sparying ourselves with some deoderant, it had beena  long day, we were all hot & smelly, I think it was good idea that we didnt stink out the van, well we would be spedning a lot of time in it.

Smelling like Roses we headed off for Manchester, before you ask, Dave who the band stayed with last time was putting us up again, it also took several hours of the journey tomorrow.  I dozed off to sleep pretty quick, the next time I awoke we had stopped at a petrol station, hunger yet again taking over which was temporarily cured by the prepackaged sandwiches.

As before the next time we awoke was when the van came to a halt, the door slid open and in hopped this guy, the guy happened to be Dave, a true star to have gotten up at such an odd hour & met us to direct us to his place.

We got to his place, shuffled out the van, it was pretty chilly, the first thing that struck me as I walked in was the abundance of gig posters on the walls, I was in a house of rock which made me smile.

Tony & Ben tired headed upstairs to get a goodnights sleep, the rest of us made our way into the lounge, Alex dived on the mattress in the centre of the room, declaring it his bed for the night, Graham took one couch, Leo sat on the other and I took the floor.

When the sleeping bags came out Leo moved onto the floor, I didnt have one so kept my hoodie on, well it wasnt that cold plus I usually sleep curled up like a ball.

None of us were actually tired enough to sleep, Dave went back to his room whilst we watched a video but I couldnt fight my eyes any longer and gave in, falling asleep thinking about tomorrow & what lay ahead...zzz....zzz....zzzz......
