The venue was directly
opposite a church which is where we stopped the van, I grabbed
the merch box and went in and starting setting up whilst the
others introduced themselves to the promoter as Tony moved the
van to the parking around the back of the venue.
The place was nice,
spread over two floors, it was pretty big, a decent sized bar
area upstairs and nice looking dancefloor and stage
downstairs, just a shame the place wasnt packed out with more
people, well not much happened inbetween sets, I took a peek
at the crowd when Porcelain Roach were on and it was a very
young audience made up mainly of boys out to mosh.
Well it was time for
Miocene to go on soon, I made my way downstairs with my camera
and held onto the railing upfront, Dave & Bob stood next to me
but the music in the background made it hard to hear what they
were saying, again I must have given off the impression that I
was rude.
Just before they were
due to come on I noticed that the equiment onstage belonged to
Porcelain Roach, I learnt there was no backstage and to switch
all the gear would involve them loading up in the rain whilst
we unloaded in the rain outside, so wisely and kindly they let
Miocene use their equipment.
